Telco Systems T-Metro 5324T Ethernet Access Switch - Resilient-link , Fixed Fast Ethernet copper interfaces, -36VDC to -72VDC Input Power, Carrier Ethernet Access Switch Simple Type: Ethernet Switch

The T-Metro 5324T multilayer Ethernet switch is a member of Telco Systems’ field-proven family of Carrier Ethernet switches. Optimized for metro Ethernet applications, the 5324T is ideal for triple-play service aggregation and business Ethernet services. This cost-effective, advanced access switch includes extensive multilayer Ethernet OAM, an array of network resiliency protocols, and advanced QoS features. The 5324T utilizes Telco Systems’ embedded LINUX-based operating system, BiNOX, to provide the robust administration, management, QoS, security and performance requirements to support the stringent requirements of today’s Carrier Ethernet network. This essential combination of features allows the service provider to successfully deploy Ethernet services, thus enhancing its competitive edge. The 5324T’s service multiplexing capability enables service providers to deliver multiple, isolated, services on a per-port and/or a per-flow basis. Provisioning, monitoring and troubleshooting of each individual service can be done without impacting other services. The T-Metro 5324T supports industry-standards OAM tools including IEEE 802.1ag Connectivity Fault Management (CFM) IEEE 802.3ah Ethernet First Mile (EFM-OAM) and ITU-T Y.1731. These protocols enable the service provider to remotely identify connectivity issues and isolate problems, as well as monitor end-to-end services to ensure that service level agreements are met. A wide set of QoS features enables the service provider to have a granular control over the behavior of traffic and services in the network. In addition, the 5324T delivers a comprehensive set of security features for authentication, connectivity and access control. To ensure non-stop networking, the 5324T boasts a wide variety of resiliency protocols. It offers link-level mechanisms such as Resilient-link and LAG with LACP, network-wide mechanisms such as STP, RSTP, MSTP and Fast-Ring. In addition, the 5324T supports the cutting-edge, carrier-grade resiliency mechanisms G.8031 and G.8032 delivering network-wide and servicewide protection both in linear and ring topologies. The 5324T is fully manageable via SNMP or CLI with either In-band (IB) or Out-of-Band (OOB) management tools. The CLI complies with the defacto industry standard. Administrators can use industry-standard SNMP-based network management systems, or the BiNOSCenter NG EMS/ NMS Element/Network Management System. It provides the network operator with a state-ofthe-art, powerful, SNMP based configuration, monitoring and maintenance platform. The 5324T offers the carrier an ideal solution, incorporating high capacity in a compact size (only 1RU in height, 10” in depth). The 5324T supports 24 Fast Ethernet copper ports and 4 combo Gigabit Ethernet ports.
